• Performance Tuning: The M50 is tuned for higher performance than standard i4 models, incorporating M-specific suspension and, in some configurations, an "M Sport Differential" (likely referring to the electronic management system), BMW Aurora explains and this Facebook group post notes.

• Power Distribution: The system can vary torque, often favoring the rear for a traditional BMW feel while providing AWD stability when needed, according to BimmerLife.
